RadiantGrid™ Platform

Media Publishing

Once assets have been assembled into their final form, RadiantGrid provides services to distribute the content to digital retailers. Because each retailer requires a different form of media publishing, RadiantGrid has developed a plug-in publishing model to support a breadth of digital retailers. For example with Apple iTunes, the retailer requires a specific transcoding format (MPEG-2 15Mbps), and a retailer-specific metadata schema.

Benefits

The iTunes publisher plug-in collects the MPEG-2 transcoded file, and uses the media metadata assigned to the master asset, and generates the retailer-specific metadata file. These files are assembled into an iTunes package, which can then be delivered directly to Apple for ingestion into their video store.

In addition to Apple iTunes, several other digital retailer packages are supported by the RadiantGrid publishing services, as well as CableLabs 1.1 distribution packages.
